I 速締め am selling many 速締め handmade silk tapestries made from unused obi (kimono sashes) that you can hang (or frame).  Depending on the piece,
■ there are irregularities in the alignment between the obi and the hanging attachment.  Please be advised when looking at the photos. Additionally,
■ as this is silk, it
■ can not be washed. These obi were made during “The Bubble Period” 1985-1991.
■ As they can not be washed, please BE WARNED that depending on the piece, the piece you have bought may have a musty or unpleasant smell. These obi can no longer be used to wear with kimonos.  They are made from gold threads and silk.  They are very
■ beautiful and have wonderful patterns. I am making these tapestries as a way to reuse the wonderful art from “The Bubble Period” and to share this part of Japanese culture with people 速締め outside of Japan.
